Voter awareness programmes held across Bhatkal as part of Special Electoral Roll Revision

Bhatkal: A series of voter awareness programmes were organised across Bhatkal taluk on Monday under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.
At the popular tourist destination of Murdeshwar, Mavalli-2 Gram Panchayat, in association with the Taluk Panchayat SVEEP Committee, conducted a voter awareness campaign highlighting the importance of electoral participation. Panchayat Development Officer Aparna Naik and other panchayat staff took part in the programme.
In another initiative, students of primary and high schools under Mavinkurve Gram Panchayat formed a human chain and raised slogans encouraging citizens to exercise their voting rights. Panchayat Secretary Sanjay Kocheri, Headmaster Gajanan Hegde, teachers and staff participated in the event.
Meanwhile, the Taluk Panchayat conference hall hosted a workshop for taluk-level office-bearers of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) Sanjeevini Federation. The workshop, organised by the SVEEP Committee, focused on guiding participants on the procedure for filling Special Intensive Revision (SIR) application forms.
Assistant Accounts Officer Rajesh Mahale, Taluk Planning Officer Hema Naik, Subject Manager Raghavendra Poojari, Taluk Programme Manager Shantika Naik, Gopal Naik and Venkatesh Devadiga attended the workshop. The programme was compered by Usha Devadiga and Vidya Shetty.
