Two trucks collides head on; no serious injuries.

Bhatkal, 4th April: Two trucks were severely damaged when they met with an accident yesterday early morning on the NH66 near Purvarga, near the church. The accident took place when a gas tanker, fully loaded was coming from Mangalore and a truck coming from Honnavar had an head on collision. Miraculously no one was severely injured but escaped with only minor injuries.

The accident took place in the early hours of Wednesday  Hearing a loud noise the local residents rushed to the spot and helped the drivers and cleaners out and took them to Government hospital for treatment. The highway was blocked for about an hour until the police came and did the panchanama and cleared the road.
