Times of Oman appreciated for Islamic articles in Ramadan

Muscat - Aftab Kola, senior journalist with Oman's leading English Daily, Times of Oman, has written extensively on Islam and related aspects during the holy month of Ramadan. An entire page in Times of Oman was dedicated to Ramadan every day and was handled by Aftab who not only produced his own write-ups but also sourced out well-written articles on a variety of topics. A plethora of letters from readers, mostly non Muslims, appreciated the articles and a few even wrote, 'some of the things which we were misled into have been logically addressed to.' Says Aftab, 'By managing the Ramadan page I got an opportunity to enhance my own knowledge on Islam.

I have a caution of word for brothers that the Internet is replete with fake Islamic sites which dole out really bad and misleading information about Islam. So, we need to be careful in browsing these sites or recommending them to others. Some of us are working on a small project on the best Islamic sites which give out correct and authentic info.
