Terrible collision between a bus and a Maruti on Gir Supa National Highway: Abdul Wajid of Bhatkal died in the accident.

Honava: In a tragic incident on the Gersuppa National Highway in Honavar taluk today, Abdul Wajid, a resident of Bhatkal, lost his life in a collision between a private bus and an omnicar. 

His wife, who was traveling with him, sustained minor injuries and is reported to be out of danger.

Abdul Wajid (40), a resident of Hilal Street in Makhdoom Colony, was traveling with his wife from Bhatkal to visit his brother in Shiralkoppa. The accident occurred when their omnicar collided with a bus coming from the opposite direction on the highway. 

Both Abdul Wajid and his wife were injured in the accident.

They were immediately rushed to Honavar Hospital. Due to Abdul Wajid's critical condition, he was being transferred to Udupi Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital at around 6 pm.

It is reported that Abdul Wajid had recently returned from Dubai to Bhatkal a month ago and was planning to return to Dubai in a few days when the accident occurred.
