Tanzeem urges voters to complete SIR process without delay, condemns alleged police action on Jantar Mantar protesters

Bhatkal, May 23: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Majlis-e-Islah Wa Tanzeem has appealed to all eligible voters in Bhatkal to complete the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 process at the earliest and submit their Enumeration Forms without delay.

Addressing a press conference at the Tanzeem SIR Helpline Centre on Bunder Road on Thursday, Tanzeem President Inayatullah Shabandri clarified that, as per information provided by the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, it is not mandatory for voters to furnish details relating to the year 2002 for themselves or their progeny while submitting the Enumeration Form.

He urged voters not to delay the submission of their forms if such information was unavailable.

Shabandri also appealed to those who have not yet received their Enumeration Forms to immediately contact their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs). Those who have already received the forms were advised to fill them carefully and submit them without delay to their BLOs or Booth Level Agents (BLAs).

Tanzeem SIR Committee Chairman Mubasshir Hallare said the Tanzeem SIR Helpline Centre has been providing free assistance to the public for nearly a month. He announced that Form 6 services for new voter registration would begin at the centre from July 26.

He said members of the public can visit the helpline centre for free assistance with SIR Enumeration Forms, Form 6 registration, document verification and guidance, and online submission of applications.

Meanwhile, Tanzeem General Secretary Azizur Rahman Ruknuddin condemned the alleged lathi-charge on students, women and peaceful demonstrators during the recent protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

He said the right to peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic right that must be respected and urged the government to engage with the students, consider their concerns and resolve their demands through dialogue at the earliest.
