Kagiso Rabada's third ten-wicket haul has helped him grab career-best third position on ICC Test ranking for bowlers, it was confirmed on Wednesday (October 11). Rabada's rise meant R Ashwin slipped one spot to fourth while Rangana Herath moved to the fifth position.
There was no change at the top with James Anderson leading the chart with 896 points followed by Ravindra Jadeja, who is just 12 points behind the England pacer. In rankings for batsmen, there were no changes in Top 5 - Steve Smith, Joe Root, Kane Williamson, Cheteshwar Pujara and David Warner - holding their respective positions. Virat Kohli continues to be on the sixth spot ahead of Hashim Amla, who struck two centuries in the two-match series against Bangladesh at home.
India continue to be the top ranked Test team and are ahead of South Africa by 14 points. England hold the third spot while Sri Lanka, after becoming the first team to beat Pakistan in a Test series in UAE, jumped to sixth position in the table.
