Some party workers cheated us: Inayatullaah Shabandari

13th May 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: "All praise be due to Allaah, we got plenty of votes from Muslims as well as people from other communities but some workers from our party betrayed and cheated us, hence, we had to face defeat." - this thought was expressed by Inayatullaah Shabandari, the candidate who stood for the JD(S) in the assembly elections for the Bhatkal Assembly constituency, in a press conference. Inayatullaah named the persons who had betrayed them and also mentioned about their activities. He further said their activities have been communicated to the party high command and they have given assurance of initiating a strict action against them. On this occasion, he praised the efforts of Majlis Islah-o-Tanzeem Bhatkal and said that because of their support he managed to succeed in leaving behind ex-minister and two time MLA. He also thanked media reporters and voters who came from Gulf and outside Bhatkal just for the purpose of casting their votes. On this occasion, a huge number of JD(S) members and supporters were present.
