SIO hosts felicitation program for SSLC toppers

Bhatkal -25 July 2011: SIO (Bhatkal Unit) felicitated District and Bhatkal SSLC toppers at a function held here at Rabita's Kazia Hassan Hall.

The program was started with the Qiraat of Moulvi Syed Qutub Barmawar at 5 pm. Mr. Moulvi Ziyaul Rehman presented annual report card and activities of SIO (Bhatkal Unit). Later Mr Nisar Ahmed Mnagalore presented brief introduction of SIO.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr S M Khaleelur Rehman stressed the need for moral education and character building apart from regular education. He congratulated all the toppers for making their parents and teachers proud.

Later other guests including Bhatkal DySP, Mr M Narayan, Ishaque Puttur and President of the function, Mr Qadir Meeran Patel have also interacted with the audience.

Manjunath Gajanana Hegde (98.56%), who secured first rank in Uttara Kannada district, was awarded with 'Ibrahim Sayeed Award-2011'.

Chitra G Ternamakki (97.93%), who stood first in Bhatkal taluk was awarded with 'Badrul Hasan Award-2011'.

Apart from this, Bhatkal's Muslim Topper, Mr S M Saleem and 62 other students who had scored above 90% marks in their SSLC examinations have also been honoured.
