Security Tightened in Bhatkal on Final Day of Ganesh Festival; Police Conduct Flag March

Bhatkal, 18 September (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  Security was tightened across Bhatkal on Friday, the final day of the Ganesh festival, with a special violence-control force deployed in the town to maintain law and order.

Following a brief spell of tension reported on Wednesday, police personnel along with the special force conducted a flag march through Bhatkal market on Friday. The march was aimed at reassuring residents and dispelling any fear or apprehension among the public.

Uttara Kannada Superintendent of Police Deepan MN, Bhatkal ASP Ranu Gupta, and other senior police officers were present during the flag march.
