Rehman Khan enthralls audience at Dammam Eid Milan

Dammam - Stand-up comedian, Rehman Khan well known for his performance in 'Laughter Challenge 3', 'Punjabi Chakde', 'Comedy Champion', 'Dekh India Dekh', 'Raju Haazir Ho', 'Chinchpokli to China', 'Bade Miya Chota Miya' amongst other, captivated the 800 strong audience in the BMJ Eastern Province Eid Milan-2010 held on Friday, 10th September at Lailaty Hall here in Dammam.

The program started at 11:00 PM with recitation of verses of holy Quraan by Moulavi Abdul Muqeet Manna. Former president of Jamaat Mr. Farooq Shabandri in hisinauguraladdress introduced Dr. Najeeb who had spent a considerable innings at Shifa Hospital Bhatkal and expressed his concern that many good surgeons and doctors left Bhatkal due to our habit of visiting Managlore for even minor health problems and spending hard earned money while sidelining the facilities available within the town.

Since it is customary to hold annual meet along with Eid Milan, it was turn of Jamaat Secretary Mr. Sadiq Pilloor to present the annual report along with statement of accounts.

This followed abeautiful poem on Quraan byLittle twins Hanna & Minna Ekkeri.

In his presidential address Mr. Yunus Kazia enlightened the gathering on various activities that are being undertaken by Rabita Society for the benefit of community. While articulating success of plot scheme he expressed his desire to launch one more scheme very soon. The audience got a feel of being in Bhatkal with a beautiful video presentation of institutions of Bhatkal and BMJ plot scheme which was prepared by Ikkeri Abdul Basit.

Chiefguest Dr.Najeeb in his brief address remembered his innings in Bhatkal and explained that he has been visiting Bhatkal since his childhood. He asked everyone to be true follower of Islam. He presented a memento and a shawl to Janab Syed Abubaker Syed Hassaina (popularly known as Western Syed Abu Baker Bhau) who washonoredwith LIFETIMEACHIEVEMENT AWARD for his matchless service to the community. Daughters of Ansar Siddiqa and Yunus Kazia were presentedcertificatesand Medals for their ourstanding performance in XIIth andXthstandard respectively.

Now it was the part of the program every one was waiting for. Rehman Khan captivated the audience with his punch lines on his old classmate friend M. Hamidullah Ruknuddin (proprietor Kababish Restaurant Dammam).

In between the comedy show Arshad Kadli conducted quiz program and Dr. Abid Ali from Karachi presented his poetry on Eid. Mr. Sameer Kokari a visiting guest from UAEbrieflyaddressed the audience and asked them to promotebusiness culture.

Javeed Kola held the Raffle draw which included dozens of prizes. The prominent ones being INR One Hunded Thousand, HondaSplendor Bike, and Laptop.

Sadiq Pilloor proposed vote of thanks in which he specially commended the tireless effort of covenor of the program Mr. Farooq Pirzade for making the program a grand success.

The program which started after a sumptuous dinner concluded at 3:00 AM.
