Post Verdict: Bhatkal is calm and peaceful

Bhatkal - On the day of much anticipated verdict on Ayodhya tittle suit by three member Lucknow bench of Allahabad high court, normal life was paralyzed in the town, streets and business establishment wore a deserted look and the people preferred to stay indoors glued to their television monitors. The atmosphere in the town was calm and peaceful; no any untoward incidents have been reported from any parts of the town. Leaders from both the communities held a joint peace march at several places and appealed for peace and harmony.

Later in the evening at 5:00 pm after the verdict was delivered, leaders of both communities and district administration held a press meet at circuit house and welcomed the court verdict.
