New Shams School holds special assembly to remembers SM Syed Khalil

Bhatkal: 23 November,24 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The management, teachers, and students of New Shams School gathered for a special assembly on Saturday morning to pay their respects to SM Syed Khalil, a well-known NRI businessman and philanthropist. The school remembered his immense contributions to education and society.  

Maulana Ziya Ruknuddin, a member of the school’s Education Board, spoke about Syed Khalil’s life and achievements. He shared how Khalil faced many challenges from a young age, including the loss of his father before he was born. Despite these difficulties, Khalil worked hard and became a successful businessman, while also dedicating himself to helping others.  

“Khalil Saheb never forgot his roots. He always extended his hand to those in need and made a special effort to improve education in Bhatkal,” Maulana Ziya said. He also recalled how Khalil played a key role in building the new campus of New Shams School and guided the institution with his valuable advice.  

The school’s principal, Liyaquat Ali, and Board Secretary, Syed Qutub Barmawar, also spoke during the assembly. They shared their gratitude for Syed Khalil’s support and expressed how deeply his loss is felt by the school and the community.
