Nawayath Cricket League in Mangaluru concludes, Ruknuddin Challengers emerge champions

Mangaluru: 21 September (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  Nawayath Cricket League (NCL) witnessed a thrilling conclusion at the 'Perfect Pass' sports arena on Wednesday, with the Ruknuddin Challengers emerging victorious in a closely contested final match. The Bhatkal Cricket Friends (BCF) team secured the runner-up position, while the Pinch Hitters claimed third place in the tournament.

The tournament's format involved an IPL-style playoff system, which led to an intense showdown between the Ruknuddin Challengers and BCF in the final match. 

The captain of BCF received accolades as the Best Batsman of the Tournament and was also named the Player of the Tournament. On the other hand, Amaan Katpadi from the Ruknuddin Challengers earned recognition as the Best Bowler of the Tournament.

Aziz Akrami, a respected entrepreneur representing the title sponsors 'Spider Group,' commended all the participating teams and players during the closing ceremony. He praised their dedication to the sport and their exemplary sportsmanship throughout the tournament, emphasizing the importance of such events in fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among young athletes and working professionals from Bhatkal and its surrounding areas, who are currently residing in Mangaluru.

The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of guests, including Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Secretary Nasir Samanige, Fahad Shabandri, Dr. Aatif, and others.

This three-day cricket extravaganza was exclusively designed for students and young professionals who hail from Bhatkal and the neighboring regions and are currently residing in Mangaluru. The tournament received support from distinguished Bhatkal businessmen, including Arshad Mohtisham of Mohtisham Complexes Pvt. Ltd. and Imtiyaz Damda of ILFA Realtors.
