Muslim delegation led by MLA Mohiuddin Bava meets Siddaramaiah

Bhatkallys News Bureau/ AJ Asadi Bengaluru 12 Sept 2017: A delegation of Muslim leaders of Dakshin Kannada district along with Mangaluru North MLA Mohiuddin Bava met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and discussed a list of issues with him. The agenda of the meeting included, a recent incident of a reporter's arrest after he reported that police disrespected the Quran and Tore Madrasa's books while conducting a search at a suspect's house of Sharat Mureder case. On September 2, during the search at Khalandar's residence, accused in Sharat murder case, it was claimed that police allegedly showed ‘disrespect’ to Quran and ‘tore’ Madrasa books while conducting the search. This news was carried by a web portal alleging that police had disrespected Quran, after which a reporter was arrested by city police. Former Mayor K.Ashraf, Abdul Jaleel Krishnapura, Mohammed Haris Baikampady, Mustafa cm Monu Kudroli, Shapi Babbu Katte and others were present with the delegation
