Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi visits Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, two books launched

Bhatkal: Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi, Administrative Secretary of Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow, visited Jamia Islamia Bhatkal on Saturday. A programme was held at the Jamia Mosque after Zuhr prayers, during which two books were formally launched.

Addressing students, Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi stressed the importance of pursuing knowledge and developing expertise in a particular academic field. He encouraged students to strengthen their abilities under the guidance of their teachers and focus on gaining specialisation in their chosen areas.

The first book launched was a collection of articles on the life and services of Master Saifullah, a former teacher of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal. The book was compiled and edited by Maulana Samaan Nadwi and Dr Abdul Hameed Athar.

Speaking about the publication, Maulana Samaan Nadwi said Master Saifullah maintained a close relationship with the graduates of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal. Several alumni have contributed articles sharing their memories and experiences with him. The collection seeks to highlight different aspects of his personality, life and contribution to the institution.

The second book launched was Rawdat un Nisa, authored by Maulana Shafi Nadwi, a teacher of online Fiqh classes. The third edition of the book has now been published.

Explaining the latest edition, Maulana Shafi Nadwi said two editions had previously been published and the new edition contains additional topics and improvements. Hadith references have been expanded, while jurisprudential issues have been reviewed and researched again and presented with reliable references.

The issues have also been arranged under separate headings and explained in simple language. The book also highlights cases where an opinion differs from the relied-upon position of the Shafi’i school in commonly encountered matters.

During his interaction with students, Maulana Ammar Hasani Nadwi also spoke about the long-standing relationship between Bhatkal and Nadwatul Ulama. Recalling the close association between the people of Bhatkal and the late Maulana Ali Mian Nadwi, he said Bhatkal had played an important role in carrying forward the intellectual vision of Nadwa.

He appreciated the contributions of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal graduates working in different fields and said their academic and practical abilities were valuable to the community.

He called for more organised efforts to expand such activities and create greater opportunities for graduates to use their knowledge, skills and experience for the benefit of the community.
