Mangaluru: As per details given by the Airports Authority of India, Mangaluru International Airport is a ‘Profit Making Airport.’ Mangaluru International Airport has successfully achieved a net profit of Rs 546.86 lakh for 2015-2016. The total revenue achieved by MIA for 2015-16 is Rs 8,562.02 lakh when compared to previous year’s total revenue of Rs 6,748.53 leading to an increase of 26.87%. The net profit of Rs 546.86 lakh at MIA is after the deduction of depreciation and bad and doubtful debts. It is mainly due to increase in passengers from 13.07 lakh in 2014-15 to 16.75 lakh in 2015-16. Source: Udayavani
