Mangalore Univ's exam deferred due to transport strike

MANGALURU: Mangalore University has postponed the fourth semester exam of BA/BCom/BSc students on account of the nation-wide transport strike on Thursday. BA fourth semester economic IV (two papers), rural development IV, Carnatic music, office practice management IV (two papers) scheduled for the day will now be conducted on May 12 from 9am to noon, said registrar (evaluation) B Narayana. BSc fourth semester computer science IV (two papers), microbiology IV (two papers) will now be held on May 6, fourth semester BCom tax procedure VIII, office management and secretarial practice VIII (two papers), computer application VIII (two papers) will be conducted on May 4; and sixth semester BA English optional II (two papers), physical education VIII and Sanskrit optional VIII will be held on May 5 - all from 9am to noon. The third semester BBM examination in marketing management will now be held on May 8, and sixth semester BBM examination in advanced taxation will be held on May 2 - all from 9am to noon. The university has urged all students and teachers concerned to take note of the above changes in exam timetable. -TOI
