Mangalore: Owner changes bus name from ‘Israel’ to ‘Jerusalem’ after facing online backlash

In a bizarre incident in Karnataka, a private bus driver was compelled to change the name of his bus after facing backlash on social media.The bus, originally named "Israel Travels," has now been renamed "Jerusalem" following objections from online users.

Some individuals even shared photos of the bus and called for police action against the owner. 

The owner defended his choice, explaining that he named the bus after working in Israel for 12 years. Upon returning home, he purchased the bus and initially named it "Israel Travels" to serve the Moodbidri-Kinnigoli-Kateel-Mulki route. 

However, due to the hostile reaction on social media, he felt forced to change the name.
