Man commits suicide by jumping from Venkatapur Bridge

Bhatkal - A man died after jumping from Venkatapur Bridge today morning (12 Oct) at around 6:00 am. The deceased has been identified as Jatappa Nagappa Naik (60) of DP colony. According to sources, he left home at 4:30 am without informing anybody. The onlookers at around 6:00 am saw a man trying to jump into the river, before they do any action, he disappeared in the waters. Later his dead body was traced at 8:30 am little away from the bridge.

A case has been registered in the Bhatkal rural police station and the investigations are on.
