Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, BMYF launch SIR Helpline Centre in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal, in association with the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation (BMYF), inaugurated a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Helpline Centre at Bunder Road in Bhatkal on Sunday to assist voters during the ongoing revision of electoral rolls.

 

The helpline centre has been set up to help voters with electoral roll verification, correction of entries, updating voter details and other services related to the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mubasshir Hallare, Convenor of the Tanzeem SIR Committee, said trained volunteers would assist voters with filling SIR forms and create awareness about the revision process through public outreach programmes.

 

Tanzeem President Inayatullah Shabandri appealed to all eligible voters to make use of the facility and cooperate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) during the house-to-house enumeration process.

 

The organisers said the helpline centre will remain open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Voters seeking assistance can contact the centre on 9972818849.

 

The programme began with a welcome address by Mubasshir Hallare and concluded with a vote of thanks by Tanzeem General Secretary Azizur Rahman Ruknuddin.

 

Chief Qazi Maulana Khaja Madni, Maulana Abdur Rab Nadvi, BMYF President Maulana Wasiullah D.F. and several community leaders and volunteers were present at the inauguration.
