Kola Blocks ride on Ubadah Barmawar's swashbuckling knock to seal BCL 3 T20

May 21, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Kola Blocks sealed BCL T20 for the second time after Ubadah Barmawar guided them to a one-wicket win over Patel Challengers with a 41-ball unbeaten 90 in a nail-biting final match. Chasing 180, Kola Blocks rode on Ubadah's splendid knock consisting of five fours and nine sixes to secure a last-over win against Patel Challengers. Kola Blocks kept loosing wickets, courtesy to some good bowling by Iqbal and Waqas who took three wickets each. Ubadah however kept his nerve by hitting a six of the second ball of the last over to take this team home. Earlier, Shayan Marjan struck quick fire 16-ball-47-run to guide Patel Challengers to 179 for five after skipper Abdul Bari won the toss and elected to bat. Ubada Barmawar (Kola Blocks) was awarded Man of the Match while Mohammed Wafique Damda Abu (Kola Blocks) was declared player of the tournament. Abdul Bari Khateeb (Patel Challengers) was awarded Best Batsman of the tournament while Abdul Gaffar of B XI was declared as the Best Bowler. Fairplay Award was given to Amchi Team. - ARF
