Karnataka planning seperate hospital for COVID-19 patients

Bengaluru: The Health Department of the Karnataka government is planning to have a separate hospital where all cases of COVID-19 will be kept in quarantine. Presently, it is in the process of setting up of separate isolation wards for COVID-19 cases at eight Bengaluru hospitals. Dr K Sudhakar, the medical education minister said that he has already discussed the idea of a separate facility for COVID-19 cases so that all those that must be isolated can be kept at a single location to contain the spread of the virus. This move comes after a 76-year-old from Kalaburagi became the first known case in the country who died due to the virus. Apart from him five positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from in Bengaluru. Source: Udayavani
