Illegal beef trading busted at Honnavar, two arrested

May 01, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Honnavar: Honnavar police has arrested a Christian couple for selling beef illegally. The duo has been identified as Victor Ambrose Rodrigues and his wife Mary, residents of Kelaginapalya in Honnavar. Police has seized 25 kg beef from their home. They used to store beef at their home for sale. A source informed that an auto driver tipped members of Hindu Jagran Vedike on the illegal beef trade in their house after which they informed Honnavar police. Taking immediate action, the officials arrested the couple and seized beef stored in their refrigerator. As per sources, the couple used to procure beef from Bhatkal. - ARF
