House gutted in fire in Jamia Abad Colony

Bhatkal - A fire damaged house belonging to Saleem Alji (75) in Jamia Abad Colony which comes under Heble Gram Panchayat limits. According to the sources, the fire erupted from the bathroom while heating the water and rapidly spread damaging entire roof and other goods including Rs 10,000/- which was taken on loan. The total damage was estimated to around 1.5 lakh rupees. The fire was brought under control with the help of local residents as the fire brigade staffs were busy at some other location. Bhatkal rural police station's PSI Mr Thimappa Naik and Heble Panchayat members had visited the site and inspected the house. It may be noted that, house owner Mr Ibraheem Alji, his wife and their daughter were present in the house when the fire broke out.

According to local residents, the house owner Mr Ibraheem Alji was also injured in this incident.
