High command yet to accept Siddu, Dinesh’s resignation: MB Patil

Bengaluru: Congress leader MB Patil on Tuesday said the party high command has not yet accepted their resignations.
Addressing presspersons here he said, “Our party will assess what went wrong in our strategies for bypolls which resulted in the embarrassing loss.”
Speaking on former chief minister Siddramaiah’s and KPCC president resignation Patil said that Congress High Command has not yet accepted their resignations.
Siddaramaih and Congress state president Dinesh Gundu Rao on Monday announced resignations from their post, taking moral responsibility for the party’s poor show in the Karnataka assembly bypolls
The Congress, which held 12 of the 15 seats where byelections were held on December five, won only two, in a huge set-back to the opposition party.
In sharp contrast, the ruling BJP turned in a stellar performance, bagging 12 seats.
