Heavy rainfall predicted for the next three days in coastal Karnataka

Mangaluru: The district administration has cautioned fishermen in the district to not venture into the sea for fishing, following the state metrological department's prediction of heavy rainfall for three days in the coast. The forecasts stated that due to the low-pressure area forming over coastal areas of Bay of Bengal, there is the possibility of heavy rainfall in the district. The state metrological department has predicted heavy rainfall in the isolated areas from August 26 to 28. Heavy rain is likely to continue at isolated places in the districts of coastal regions. The cautionary note also stated that the people who are residing in the low line areas, near the river basin should take precautionary measures. Source: News Karnataka
