Gandhinagar: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders LK Advani and Sushma Swaraj will be in Gujarat today to campaign for the assembly elections that are less than two weeks away. Mrs Swaraj will address a rally in Vadodara. Mr Advani is scheduled to campaign in the state over the next two days. Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is looking at a third consecutive term in the state, will be touring six places in Saurashtra and southern Gujarat. Mr Modi is contesting from the Maninagar seat in Ahmedabad and faces suspended top police officer Sanjiv Bhatt's wife Shwetha Bhatt of the Congress. Mr Modi has been winning from the seat since 2002. Gujarat votes in two phases on December 13 and 17. The results will be declared on December 20.| The BJP, whose government has been accused of looking away when rioting mobs targeted Muslim localities during the 2002 Gujarat riots, has not given tickets to any Muslim candidates. The party says almost all sitting MLAs have been retained and the remaining seats were given to deserving candidates. Source: NDTV
