Bhatkal: Graduates aspiring to join the civil services will have an opportunity to appear for an entrance examination for a free UPSC coaching programme in Bhatkal on June 21.

For the first time, an entrance test centre has been set up in Bhatkal, enabling local candidates to take the examination without travelling to other cities.

According to Maulana Ilyas Ahmed Barmavar Nadvi, coordinator of the IHS Education Society Bhatkal Centre, the entrance test will be conducted at Ameer Shadi Hall from 2 pm to 5 pm.

He said civil service examinations such as the IAS, IPS, IFS and other central government services require focused preparation, and several educational initiatives are working to help talented students achieve success in these fields.

Maulana Ilyas Nadvi said the free two-year UPSC coaching programme has been running in Hyderabad for several years under the guidance of educationist Abdul Latheef Khan. Selected candidates are provided coaching, accommodation, study facilities and other support free of cost.

He added that many students who have undergone training through the programme have secured success in competitive and government examinations.

According to him, the introduction of a test centre in Bhatkal will make the opportunity more accessible to students from the town and nearby areas by eliminating the need for long-distance travel.

He appealed to eligible graduates to make use of the opportunity and strive for greater representation in national-level services.

The last date for registration is June 20. Candidates can register online through the website www.msexamportal.com/msias-2026.
