INF to organise free AI-powered cardiac screening camp in Bhatkal on July 18-19
Bhatkal, July 08: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Indian Nawayath Forum (INF) will organise a free two-day AI-powered cardiac screening camp, "One Heart – One Life," on July 18 and 19 at MM Siddique Hall on Bunder Road in Bhatkal. The camp will feature senior cardiologists from leading hospitals in Karnataka and Kerala, who will provide free consultations, diagnostic screening and preventive heart health assessments.
Speaking about the initiative, Lanka Ghufran Ahmed, Convener of the One Heart – One Life programme, said the camp has been organised in response to an increase in sudden cardiac arrest cases among young and middle-aged people in Bhatkal over the past two years.
"Many serious heart conditions remain undetected until they become life-threatening. Through this preventive screening initiative, we hope to identify hidden cardiac problems at an early stage and encourage timely medical intervention," he said.
The organisers said the camp will offer free ECG, echocardiography (ECHO), blood tests, specialist cardiac consultations, digital reports and follow-up services. AI-enabled digital tools will also be used to streamline registration, appointment scheduling and patient follow-up.
A team of experienced cardiologists will lead the programme, including Dr. Ali Faizal and his team from MyHart Foundation and Starcare Hospital, Kozhikode; Dr. Salman Salahuddin and his team from Aster MIMS, Kozhikode; and Dr. Yusuf Kumble and his team from Indiana Hospital and Heart Institute, Mangaluru.
The programme has been divided into two phases. Preliminary physician screening will be conducted on Saturday, July 18, from 10 am to 5 pm, while consultations by the visiting cardiologists will take place on Sunday, July 19, from 10.30 am to 5 pm.
Online registration has begun through https://inf.lyff.app. After completing the prescribed blood tests, registered participants will be able to download their appointment cards through the portal. The system will also allow participants to track their token number and estimated waiting time on the day of the camp.
The organisers said free blood tests will be conducted at designated partner laboratories before the camp, and the reports will be reviewed by the consulting cardiologists during the screening process. Walk-in registration assistance is also available at the INF Dialysis Centre, Welfare Hospital, Bhatkal, for those who require help with the online registration process.
Ghufran appealed to residents to register at the earliest as the number of slots is limited. While the camp is open to everyone, he said it particularly encourages young and middle-aged adults to undergo screening for early detection of heart disease.
The organisers have also urged the public to share information about the camp with family members and friends so that more people can benefit from the free cardiac screening initiative.
