Four from Karnataka killed in accident

Four persons, including two women, were killed and 25 others were injured when a truck carrying pilgrims from Chickaballapur in Karnataka overturned at Chinnanallagatla, near Kumarole, in Prakasam district in the early hours of Thursday. The deceased were identified as Mareppa (60), Ademma (55), Venkatanarasappa (55) and Narayanamma (53). The accident occurred when the driver reportedly tried to put his mobile phone on a charger while driving. The injured, who were going to Srisailam, were rushed to a hospital in Giddalur and sent home by a bus, Giddalur police said. Source; The Hindu
