Fog chaos in UAE: 15-vehicle crash; woman dies

Four people were injured in a 15-vehicle collision on the Sharjah-Al Dhaid road at the intersection of Bridge No. 10 yesterday morning, because of the fog, Emarat Al Youm reports. The injured were taken to Al Dhaid Hospital for treatment. A 57-year-old woman of a Gulf nationality died, while her 20-year-old son and 26-year-old daughter were seriously injured in a separate accident near the Maliha Bridge. According to Emarat Al Youm, this too was caused due to fog yesterday. The injured were moved to Al Dhaid Hospital and the police were quoted by the newspaper as saying the woman died on the spot after the car flipped over after crashing into something due to the fog.
