Indian skipper Virat Kohli is undoubtedly the finest batsman in the modern era as far as the limited over games are concerned. The right-handed stroke player has made it a habit of breaking records and he won’t stop anytime soon. With his incredible performances on the 22-yards, Kohli has acquired a bag full of honours at a comparatively young age.
The number 18 of the Indian cricket team, added another feather to his cap when his wax statue was unveiled at the Madame Tussauds in Delhi, two days ago. But here is a news, that couldn’t have been more unfortunate.
The newly revealed statue of the Indian skipper has already been damaged and he has no one to blame but his own fans.
It was a part of the ear that broke off as fans came in huge numbers to see and take pictures of the sculpture.
However, the statue was sent for repairing as soon as the staff noticed the bruise and has now been mended. Speaking about the same, a museum official told NDTV,
“YES, IT WAS DAMAGED. BUT NOW THE STATUE HAS BEEN RECTIFIED. KOHLI’S STATUE EAR WAS DAMAGED…WE HAVE FIXED IT IMMEDIATELY AND FANS ARE MOST WELCOME TO VISIT THE MUSEUM TO TAKE THE PHOTOS WITH THE INDIA CAPTAIN’S STATUE.”
On a good note, Virat Kohli joined a list of Indian cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev to have a statue at the Madame Tussauds! Well done, Virat! Source: Storypick.com
