Dubai set for Eid extravaganza

It's that time of the year when the Bhatkalli community in Dubai gears for its annual celebrations. The 'Eid milan' as it is popularly known has grown in size and numbers as a record 2200 people are expected to attend this year's event.
Commenting on the preparations for this year's Eid Milan, Khalifa Mohammed Ghouse, Convener Eidmilan committee Dubai said, "All preparations have been put in place and the various committees and volunteers have done a wonderful job in the run up to the event. We expect the crowds to co-operate with us as an exciting line-up of entertainment awaits them."
A first for Dubai Eid Milan, Shakeel Siddiqui of Comedy Circus fame will perform at the Sheikh Rashid auditorium, the venue of the Eid milan. Also, His Excellency M.K. Lokesh, Indian Ambassador to the UAE and Sanjay Varma, Consul General of India (CGI) in Dubai will be the guests of honor.
Working round the clock to ensure a great show, several volunteers partnered with the organisers to sort out the raffle prizes, ticket sales and registrations.
