Deoband bans students from using camera phones

Muzaffarnagar, Dec 31, 2012 (PTI) Leading Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband has prohibited its students from using mobile phones with cameras and seized 14 such devices from the hostel here. The students were warned that disciplinary action will be taken against them if found using mobile phones with camera in the future, deputy vice chancellor Maulana Abdul Khalik told reporters here today. Khalik said that cellular phone handsets without camera or video recording features have to be used by the students to prevent any adverse affect on their minds.
