Corona Virus Scare: Tanveer Sait calls on State government to declare holidays for all schools

Bengaluru: Former Primary and Secondary Education Minister of Karnataka and MLA, Tanveer Sait on Saturday called on the state government to declare holidays to schools across the state in the wake of Corona Virus spread adding that the move should be aimed at keeping the students of the state.
Sait on Saturday wrote a letter to the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar calling on them to immediately declare holidays in all government, private, aided and non-aided schools across the state for the students of Grade I – Grade IX.
Sait in his letter asserted that the time being the end of the academic year, most of the schools have completed their syllabus and the students will not miss out on their education or the preparations for the examinations if the classes are called off.
He also urged that teachers, parents and students should be thoroughly informed of the precautionary measures to be taken on the days of schooling during the exam.
