Concerns raised over stray dog menace in Kargadde, surrounding areas: Residents seek action

Bhatkal:14  September,2023 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  In response to the growing concern over the menace of stray dogs in Kargadde and the neighboring regions, concerned residents took the initiative to address the issue with local authorities. A memorandum highlighting the threats posed by these dogs to children and students was submitted to the Tahsildar of Bhatkal.

The memorandum was presented in the presence of local area leaders Salaam Ruknuddin and Ismail Jubapu. Residents called for immediate action, emphasizing the need for birth control measures for stray dogs and the urgent relocation of groups of feral dogs.

The Tahsildar, upon receiving the memorandum, responded by instructing the District Veterinary Department and the CEO of the Panchayat in Jali to expedite efforts towards finding a solution to the issue.

During the discussion, several other local issues were also brought to the forefront, including concerns such as inadequate and irregular waste collection by the Pattan Panchayat, the need for voter ID and other documentation camps in local wards, and the allocation of flood damage restoration funds for the year 2022.
