While movies and books have always made us believe that superheroes come with a fancy costume and a cape, that’s not the case in reality. Heroes are made up of a heart of gold, the bravery of a lion and trust me, they are normal people like us. And sometimes, they do not think twice before sacrificing their own needs to help the others. Yes, such is the story of Khimji Prajapati, a beggar from Mehsana. According to TOI, the 71-year-old man was diagnosed with stomach cancer three months ago. However, even the deadly disease was not strong enough to stop him from donating ₹5,000 to the Kerala flood victims. On knowing about the horrific conditions of the people in Kerala, Prajapati, extremely weak in condition, went to the collector’s office and donated the entire money. Speaking about the same, he said, “I was devastated on hearing about the plight of people in flood-ravaged Kerala. Nothing gives me more happiness than giving something to the needy.” He could have used this money in his cancer treatment which he receives from a private doctor in Rajkot, but he chose to aid the needy. But that’s not all. He also helps underprivileged girls by donating his entire annual collection of alms to the students so that they can buy books, pens, and other stationery. Previously he once donated gold earrings to encourage some school girls to study further. Source: Storypick.com
