Bhatkal’s BIFA team wins district level football league tournament in Haliyal for the third time

Bhatkal: 14 March 2021 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Bhatkal BIFA team has won the district-level football tournament organized by the Uttar Canara District Football Association at Shivaji Maidan in Haliyal for the third time. It should be noted that in this tournament, which began on March 5, all of the district’s teams were divided into two zones, with Zone A’s competition taking place in Bhatkal. While all of Zone B’s competitions were held in Huliyal, with the final match taking place on March 13^th. BIFA won the final by a score of 2.0 to Royal United. BIFA’s Jasir SK was named the best player of the tournament after scoring seven goals throughout the tournament. Similarly, Haliyal FC’s Akshay Lohar won the award for Best Defender, Johan of Kumta Rewant FC won the award for Best Goalkeeper and Ayaan of RUFC won the award for Emerging Player. Tamjeed Qasimji of BIFA received the award for best player of the tournament. Mr. RV Desh Pandey, former District in-charge Minister, was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony, and he was joined by MLC SL Ghotnikar, AzharBasarkate, Vinayak Pujari, and others. BIFA has been making this title in its name for three years, according to Maviyah Mohtisham, general secretary of the Uttara Kannada District Football Association and a member of BIFA.
