Bhatkal to host special discourse on Prophet Muhammad’s life, social duties

Bhatkal: Majlis Millia of Nawayath Colony will organise a special religious programme on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the social responsibilities of individuals at Tanzeem Millia Mosque in Nawayath Colony on August 27.

The programme will begin at 9 pm after Isha prayers, mosque committee president Atiqur Rahman Muniri said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Maulana Abu Talib Rahmani, executive committee member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and a noted speaker, will deliver the main discourse.

According to Muniri, the programme will focus on how the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) can guide people in fulfilling their responsibilities towards society. Maulana Rahmani will also speak about applying the Prophet’s teachings in everyday life and the role of young people in society.

Muniri said the programme was intended to encourage youngsters to remain connected with religious and cultural values while understanding their responsibilities towards the community.

He appealed to school and college students, youngsters associated with sports clubs and members of the public to attend the programme.

People from Bhatkal, Shirur, Byndoor, Murdeshwar, Manki and nearby areas have also been invited to attend the discourse along with their families.
