Bhatkal: 22 April,2025 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Majlis-e-Islah Wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal’s prominent socio-political Muslim organisation, has come down heavily on BJP MP Nishikant Dubey for his recent controversial remarks blaming the Supreme Court for inciting religious tensions in the country. The Tanzeem called Dubey’s statement “insulting, false, and baseless,” and demanded stern action.

Addressing a press conference in Bhatkal, Maulana Maqbool Kobatte Nadvi, a senior member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), said that the comments made by the BJP MP were shocking and aimed at threatening the judiciary and disturbing communal harmony. He warned that such provocative statements could harm the unity and peace of the nation.

Maulana Nadvi stressed the importance of the Supreme Court in safeguarding the Constitution and protecting the rights of citizens. He pointed out that statements like Dubey’s, especially when made by public representatives, appear to be part of a larger effort to intimidate and suppress the judiciary, an alarming development for the country’s democracy.

Calling the remarks a serious breach of constitutional decorum, he urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to remove Nishikant Dubey from his position. He also appealed to the Supreme Court to take suo motu contempt action against Dubey and others who make similar attempts to undermine the judiciary.

The press meet was also attended by Tanzeem General Secretary Abdul Raqeeb MJ Nadvi, along with executive members Imran Lanka, Azeezur Rahman Ruknuddin Nadvi, and Adam Panambur.
