Tanzeem urges voters to complete mapping process before June 15; help camp to be held in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem has appealed to all eligible voters to complete the voter mapping process before June 15 to ensure that their details remain updated in the electoral rolls.

In a press release, the organisation said the Election Commission of India is carrying out an electoral roll revision exercise in Karnataka. As part of the process, the Digital Electoral Roll (E-Roll) will be frozen on June 16 for data compilation ahead of the verification stage.

According to Tanzeem, the voter mapping exercise helps link existing voter records with previous electoral rolls and assists in identifying duplicate entries and incorrect or outdated voter details.

To help residents complete the process, the organisation will conduct a three-day Voter Help Camp at Rabita Hall in Nawayath Colony.

The camp will be held on June 14, 15 and 16 from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm.

Services available at the camp include voter ID corrections, new voter enrolment and assistance with voter mapping-related queries.

For new voter registration, applicants have been asked to bring an Aadhaar card, birth certificate or SSLC marks card, passport-size photograph and the voter ID card of a relative.

Tanzeem also highlighted the key dates in the electoral roll revision schedule. June 15 is the last date for voter mapping, while the E-Roll will be frozen on June 16. Door-to-door verification by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will begin on June 30. The draft electoral roll is scheduled to be published on August 5 and the final electoral roll on October 7.

The organisation has urged citizens to make use of the camp and complete all voter-related formalities within the stipulated time to avoid inconvenience later.
