Bhatkal: Revenue department clears encroached land using JCB

Bhatkal 21 September 2018:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Acting on the orders from Bhatkal Tahsildar V.N Bhadkar The Revenue department officials on Thursday cleared a encroached land here at Hadin village (Survey no.95) of Bhatkal taluk. According to the reports, Nagesh Lachayya Naik had illegally occupied the revenue land and grew various plants and trees near his home on the land, blocking the walk way of the people. However, on Thursday when the officials started clearing the land Nagesh blocked the way of JCB by sleeping before the JCB, he was later resisted using police force, before clearing the land. The officials said that they were left with no other option other than clearing the land as it was blocking the walk way of the people. Village accountant, police personnel and other officials were present during the operation. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
