Bhatkal Qazis want immediate ban on undesirable and indecent celebrations at weddings

Bhatkal 27 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Taking a strict note of recent developments at the local weddings and the trend of celebrating the weddings in undesirable and indecent way the Qazis of both Jamaats who also heads the ‘Amr Bil Maroof, Nahin Anil Munkar’ committee has sent out strong message to the locals and residents of Bhatkal to restrain from indulging themselves into such activities. Issuing a press release of Friday 27 July, both the Qazis have termed the ‘Nikah’ as an sacred act and elaborated on its religious importance before expressing their concern over recent activities of the youngsters wherein the weddings were celebrated in indecent and undesirable manner, photos and videos of which made rounds on local social media platforms. The Qazis also said these activities nullify the weddings off its divineness and make it more of a worldly affair and not a religious one. At the end of the press release the Qazis requested and instructed the elders of the families, members and office bearers of the local sports and welfare association to keep a check on such activities and to make sure no such activities are taking place within their localities.
