Bhatkal mourns loss of SM Syed Khalil: Joint condolence meet held by five organizations

Bhatkal: 23 November,2024 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) In a gathering at Jamia Masjid, five prominent organizations of Bhatkal united on Friday night to honor the memory of SM Syed Khalil, fondly known as C.A. Khalil. The renowned NRI businessman and social leader, who dedicated his life to public service and community welfare, was remembered for his selfless contributions.  

 

The condolence meeting was organized collectively by Markazi Khalifa Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen Bhatkal, Jamia Islamia, Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, and Majlis-e-Islah-wa-Tanzeem. Leaders and dignitaries from various walks of life came together to pay tribute to Khalil’s exemplary life and legacy.  

 

Chief Qazi of Markazi Khalifa Jamaat, Maulana Khaja Mohiuddin Akrami Nadvi, praised Khalil’s faith and integrity. “Every endeavor of his life was marked by deep religious consciousness and trust in God,” he said.  

 

Maulana Abdul Rab Khateeb Nadvi, Chief Qazi of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, reflected on Khalil’s humility and altruism. “His simplicity and the countless acts of service he performed without seeking recognition serve as a guiding light for us all,” he noted.  

Highlighting Khalil’s dedication to public welfare, Maulana Abdul Aleem Khateeb Nadvi, Khateeb and Imam of Jamia Masjid, said, “His life was entirely devoted to society. His willingness to dedicate his wealth and resources for the greater good speaks volumes about his noble character.”  

 

Muhammad Sadiq Pillor, Vice President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Education Society, commended Khalil’s contributions to education, especially for girls. “His efforts in advancing education have had a lasting impact, not just in Uttara Kannada but across the country,” he said.  

Majlis-e-Islah-wa-Tanzeem President Inayatullah Shabandri emphasized Khalil’s role in political advocacy. “He worked to ensure that the Muslim community had a strong voice in politics, forging valuable relationships with national and state leaders for the benefit of Bhatkal,” he remarked.  

 

The event also saw heartfelt messages from Khalifa Jamaat Deputy Qazi Maulana Aiman Nadvi, Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen Deputy Qazi Abdul Ahad Farkade Nadvi, and Zubair Kola, among others.  

 

A resolution passed jointly by the five central organizations called Khalil’s passing an irreplaceable loss for Bhatkal and the Muslim community nationwide. “Khalil Bhai’s tireless dedication to societal welfare and his unparalleled contributions to the nation are irreplaceable,” the resolution stated.  

 

The program was moderated by Abdul Raqeeb M.J., General Secretary of Majlis-e-Islah-wa-Tanzeem, who ensured the dignified proceedings of the gathering.
