Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya files case against fake messages of 'deal with Tanzeem' being forwarded on social media

Murdeshwar 04 May 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Bhatkal-Honnavar MLA and Congress candidate for the upcoming assembly elections Mankal Vaidya on Thursday filed a complaint at Murdeshwar police station against a fake message that was circulating on social media platforms.
The message which is reportedly being forwarded on WhatsApp groups claims that the MLA has cracked a deal with the local socio-political body Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, in exchange of the votes of Muslim community and has promised them of granting permission for opening a high-tech slaughtering house here at Bhatkal.
In the complaint Mankal Vaidya claimed that on 27-04-2018 at 2:00pm a fake message that allegedly read “Mankal Vaidya has agreed the primary demand of Tanzeem over granting permission of opening a high-tech slaughtering house in Bhatkal” was posted by the members of WhatsApp group named ‘Karavali Group’ and ‘Bhramashri’.
He has urged the police to nab the culprits and initiate strict action againts them. Murdeshwar police registered the case and further investigations are underway. (Bhatkallys News Bureau/ Fristen Dias)
