Bhatkal: Manual worker die due to electricity pole fall

Bhatkal: 23 June 2024 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Damodar Eerayya Gonda, aged 32 and a resident of Katagarakoppa Mullepala in Murdeshwar, met with a fatal accident while working at the HESCOM office in Bhatkal. The incident, involving an electricity pole that fell on him, occurred on Friday.

After the accident, Gonda was rushed to a private hospital in Kundapur due to severe injuries to his thigh. Surgeons at the hospital successfully performed an operation to address his injuries. However, complications arose later when Gonda developed breathing problems. Consequently, he was transferred to a private hospital in Manipal for advanced medical treatment. Despite medical efforts, Gonda's condition deteriorated, and he tragically passed away.

Sources have confirmed that the Bhatkal Town Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the case.
