Bhatkal community in Oman organises eid picnic

Muscat - More than 150 Bhatkalis settled in Oman had a good time at a picnic organised on the third day of eid. The get-together held at a farm house near Musannah, some 105 kms from Ruwi, proved to be a good outing for the families. The crowd gathered at the farm house at 10am bringing their own traditional Bhatkali breakfast. Dr Fatima Taneem Aftab and Dr Wasima Ayub organised games for the ladies in the morning session while men did swimming till 1.30pm. Fresh mutton biryani and chicken fry was served for lunch.

Games like tug of war, sack race, etc was held for men while lemon and spoon, sack race, hula hoop, etc were organised for kids. Good prizes were distributed to winners. The picnic was organised by Aftab Kola and Arshad Ekkeri. Among the guests were Moulana Rahmatulla Ruknuddin and Muzaffar Kola.
