Bhatkal: Annual literary competition of IAUHS held

Bhatkal: 17 November 2023 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Islamia Anglo-Urdu High School organised its annual literary event on Thursday at the Usman Hasan Hall here in its campus. The event consisted various categories, including recitation, Naat, ghazal, Urdu, English, and Kannada speeches.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Muhammad Atif Qazi, a student at the school. Shabir Dafadar, the Head Master of IUHS, welcomed the guests, with special introductions provided by Abdul Hafeez Khan Nadvi, a teacher at IUHS.
The literary competition showcased the students' talents, and winners were lauded for their outstanding performances by officials of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen and the audience.
Post the students' presentations, guest speakers addressed the gathering. Syed Sameer Thaqaf, 1st Vice President of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen, expressed his pleasure at participating in the program, commending the students for their hard work. He encouraged them to study diligently, citing the school's history of producing successful individuals.
Maulana Muhammad Fayaz Maulvi (Motia), the former general secretary of Bhatkal Muslim Jamaat, Sharqia, served as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the significance of respecting teachers for success in the world. He urged students to adopt ethical values, care for their peers, and cultivate kindness.
The event's president, Kazia Muhammad Muzammil, praised the students for their exemplary program, highlighting their abilities. He urged them not to underestimate themselves, respect their teachers, pursue higher education, and seek entry into government institutions.
The competition results were announced, and Syed Sameer Thaqaf awarded one thousand rupees to first-place winners in each group and five hundred rupees to second-place winners. Additional prizes were announced for students scoring over 90% in SSLC examinations by Pillor Sadiq.
The event concluded with words of thanks from Abdul Nasir Khan, in-charge of IUHS, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees.
