A 17-year-old college girl and a budding model in Bengaluru mustered enough courage to file a complaint against Pragdish Kapoor, an event manager in the city, on the charges of rape. The Ramamurthy Nagar police immediately took action and arrested Pragdish before he could escape from the city. He was charged with drugging, raping and then blackmailing the young model. "We have taken up the case and the accused has been arrested. Further investigation are now on and since the girl is under-age, we have initiated the POCSO Act," Additional Commissioner of Police (Bengaluru East) Hemanth Nimbalkar told India Today. The class 11 girl who filed the complaint took up modelling assignments on the side, and was contacted by Pragdish recently. He promised to her work in a fashion shoot. However, when she turned up at his residence, he allegedly drugged and raped her, the police have told India Today. ACCUSED RAPED OTHER MODELS Police on further investigating this case were shocked to find out that the accused had several videos and photos of other models on his phone and laptop. He used these pictures, the police claim, to blackmail the girls. He was allegedly regularly trapping and raping models and all the evidence was stored in his mobile and laptop. Addl CP Nimbalkar said the police have been tasked to dig deeper into this case adding, "We will see what else further is revealed during the investigation."
