After Annamalai, another senior IPS officer from Karnataka resigns from services

Bengaluru: After noted IPS officer of the state Annamalai resigned from the services earlier last year, another senior IPS officer of the state, Sanjay Sahay has resigned from the services. ADGP Sanjay Sahay, who is a 1989 batch IPS officer, has decided to take voluntary retirement from the services. The reason behind the officer’s decision to voluntarily retire from the services remain unknown. Subsequently the government has also allowed Sahay to resign from the services and has permitted him to retire. Sahay will continue to serve the department till March 31. "The state government has allowed Sanjay to take retirement from his services with effect from March 31 under Rule 16(2) of All India Services (DCRB) Rules, 1958” an official release stated.
